Terms of use
These terms apply to Simplified Orthodontics Studio and its tools, Simplified Ceph, Simplified Cast, Simplified CBCT, Simplified Face and Simplified Practice, provided by Simplified Orthodontics Academy. By using the app you agree to them.
1. Education and research use
Simplified Orthodontics Studio is an educational and research aid for dental professionals and students. It is not a medical device and has not been cleared or registered as one by any health authority. It does not diagnose, treat or recommend treatment. Measurements depend on image quality, calibration and where the landmarks are placed; the clinician remains responsible for every clinical decision.
2. Clinical judgment
Results depend on the images and models you load, the landmarks you place and the calibration you set. Check every result before relying on it. Clinical decisions remain your responsibility.
3. Normal values and comments
Norms and interpretive comments are drawn from published references. They may not suit every patient or population.
4. Patient data
Everything you enter stays on your device. You are responsible for patient consent, for following the data protection laws that apply to you, for keeping your device secure and for making backups. We cannot recover lost data.
5. No warranty
The app is provided as it is, without any warranty of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Simplified Orthodontics Academy is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the app, including clinical outcomes and loss of data.
7. Ownership
The app, its code and its design belong to Simplified Orthodontics Academy. You may use the app. You may not copy, modify, redistribute or resell its code or design without written permission.
8. Your Studio account
Signing in with Google is optional. It creates a Studio account (your email address and name, when you used the Studio, your plan and how many new cases you opened) and gives you a private Studio cloud space where a copy of your work is kept, within the space limit of your plan. You can sign out at any time, and you can delete the account and all your cloud files yourself from My account, or ask us to by writing from the account address to the contact below; we do it within 30 days. You are responsible for having your patients' consent before storing their information in your cloud, and for keeping your own copy of anything important: download your data from My account from time to time. Signing in also lets us email you about the Studio; every such email has an unsubscribe link.
9. Paid plans
All plans are free during the launch period. When paid plans start:
- Plus and Pro are prepaid for one month or one year. Nothing renews by itself; we remind you before a plan ends, and you decide whether to renew.
- When a plan ends, the account returns to the Free plan. Every case you saved stays yours and keeps opening; a lower plan only limits new cases and a few advanced features.
- Refunds: within 14 days of payment, if the paid features have not been used, we refund in full. After that, refunds are at our discretion and pro rata for the unused time. Refunds go back to the original payment method through the payment provider.
- Payments in Egypt are processed by Paymob in Egyptian pounds; payments from other countries are processed by PayPal in US dollars. We never see or store card details.
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice on the Plans page. A founding-member discount stays for as long as the plan is renewed without a gap.
10. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The current terms are always on this page, and continuing to use the app means you accept them.
